We have had a few of our brides ask what we thought about diy rentals vs full setup by us.

Here are our thoughts;

Having personally gone through decorating my own wedding I would not recommand diy unless you are able to get into the hall at least the morning before the wedding, have a lot of help or are just setting up chair covers and table cloths.

What we all tend to forget is that a million things will run through your head the day before and you have to remember that being well rested and relaxed should be your priority.

Think of it this way; you hire a photographer to take your wedding pictures, a dj to play the music and a limo or other car service to drive you on that day. Why would you possibly stress yourself out about setting up the one place that your guests will spend the majority of the day at?

Now Im not saying that diys should be completley out. We have lots of brides, make their own seating charts, or invitations, or centerpieces. All Im saying is if you dont have the time or the help to setup, not to worry. Thats what we are here for :)

So I get asked what the hardest weddings to decorate are. One would think that setting up a 200 person wedding in a 2 hour time frame including huge backdrop, chair covers , centerpieces, headtable, cake table, etc. Would be considered challenging and don’t get me wrong it sure is. However, designing and decorating for one of our former divas and her finance who both have been on our decorating team is a little nerve wreaking. Actually, who am I kidding its scary!!! LOLS

These too are something else. Mr. A as we will call him was super awesome and super fast at setups and takedowns. To this day I still miss working with him. Now lets not forget Miss C and her sister Miss S. Those two were a total blast. We used to call Miss C “The Supervisor” as she always gave everyone detailed directions on what to do. She would even tell me what to do. Go figure Miss C lol.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget our after takedown breakfast meetings at Golden Griddle or the crazy laughs we had while hanging off of ladders and running around from hall to hall.

I’m super excited and happy that you guys are getting married. Scared as heck about the directions Micc C will be giving lol and also a little sad because now I feel a little old……nah who am I kidding I’m still fabulous ;P

So Miss S, get ready because we sure as heck are going to have a lot of work to do for this one but it sure will be one great party J
